Why I Chose to Write This Journal

I’m not a superstar, and I don’t live an extraordinary life.
I’m simply a woman who creates — a wife, a mother, and the maker behind Re:Born.

I chose to write this journal as a place to share the stories behind my work: the process of making, the materials I use, and the everyday moments that quietly shape my creations.

I was born and raised in Japan, and later moved to the United States through marriage.
Living between two cultures was confusing at first, but over time it became a source of learning, inspiration, and growth — influences that naturally found their way into my creative life.

I’ve always loved creating things from nothing.
Imagination feels limitless to me — whether I’m working with fabric, shaping an idea, or even cooking a simple meal.
Creation, for me, is not only about art, but a way of expressing what lives quietly inside.

This journal is a record of those moments:
the making of Re:Born pieces, the thoughts behind them, and the small discoveries of daily life that inspire my work and might otherwise fade away.

I don’t know who will read this.
But if even one person feels curiosity, comfort, or inspiration here, that is more than enough.

This is my way of leaving a gentle trace — of creating, living, and being here.
